Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 September 2026
Who you are contracting with
Krown Digital, of Perth, Western Australia. These terms govern your use of krowndigital.com and anything you buy through it.
What we sell
Three things, at published prices, and nothing else:
- A licensed app business. A configured, branded instance of an application we have already built, together with a handover pack and training. Monthly maintenance is required and is a condition of the licence.
- A growth add-on. A fixed monthly scope of app store optimisation, listing maintenance and reporting, with a minimum term stated on its page.
- A build slot. One fixed-scope, fixed-price project per month, taken from a structured brief. Unlike a licensed app business, you own the code produced for a build slot: ownership transfers to you at handover.
We do not take on open-ended or custom-scoped work. Where the catalogue does not fit what you need, the answer is no rather than a variation.
Licence grant
When you buy a licensed app business you receive a licence to operate one branded instance of that application. You do not acquire the source code, and you do not acquire the right to resell, sublicense or redistribute the software itself.
You own your brand, domain, content, customer relationships, customer data and all revenue your instance generates.
We retain ownership of the underlying application, and the right to license the same product to other buyers, including in your industry. Every catalogue page says this; it is a licence, not an exclusive one.
Maintenance, and what happens if it lapses
Monthly maintenance is mandatory for the life of the licence. It covers hosting, security patching, dependency updates and fixes to the underlying application.
If maintenance goes unpaid, we will give you written notice and at least 30 days to reinstate it. If it is not reinstated, the licence ends and the instance reverts to us. You may export your customer data at any time before, during or after that period, and we will help you do so.
Transferring your instance
You may sell or transfer your instance, provided the new owner accepts these terms and takes on the maintenance agreement. Tell us and we will handle the transfer at no charge.
Deposits and refunds
A deposit reserves configuration time. It is refundable in full, for any reason and without explanation, within the window stated at checkout. Ask and we refund it.
Once configuration has begun and you have approved handover, the licence fee is non-refundable, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.
Support
Support is by email, with a 48-hour response target on business days. We do not offer phone support and we do not offer 24/7 support. Engagements include a maximum of two scheduled calls.
A response target is not a resolution guarantee, and we do not promise any particular uptime for your instance.
Your obligations
You agree to operate your instance lawfully; to hold any licences or registrations your own industry requires; not to present the application as your own original software to a subsequent buyer without disclosing the licence; to keep your credentials secure; and to give us accurate information in the brief.
You are responsible for your own customers, your own compliance obligations and your own conduct.
What we do not promise
We do not promise that your instance will generate revenue, attract customers or reach any ranking. Any figures we publish are labelled as scenarios and are not forecasts of your results.
Market-size statistics are not traction, and we do not present them as such.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL.
Where we are permitted to limit our liability, we do so as follows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the section above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, or loss of data, except to the extent the ACL provides otherwise.
Confidentiality
Each of us will keep the other's confidential information confidential and use it only for the purpose it was shared. This does not apply to information that is public, already known, or required to be disclosed by law.
Project agreements
Where a separate written agreement covers a specific engagement, and it conflicts with these terms, that agreement prevails to the extent of the conflict.
Termination
Either of us may end an ongoing arrangement on 30 days' written notice. Terminating does not affect accrued rights, fees already due, or the licence consequences described under maintenance above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes affecting an existing licence will be notified by email rather than by a silent edit to this page.
